I got tagged! haha by Aubirdy its funny cause i was just noticing how everyone had it on theirs and i was like why not meeeee ?? :P so here goes...
1. I'm from a small town in Alabama but I moved up here all the way across the country in fourth grade to an Indian Reservation, it was a dramatic change
2. I think all of those reality shows where celebs try to find love have the most rediculous concept but I cant not watch at least one episode haha
3. I love raw brocolli by itself but I cant eat it without anything when its cooked
4. I've had this one boy in my life that I always thought of as the love of my life but he didnt want me until I was in a long term relationship now he wont even be my friend because of it and its getting under my skin
5. Just like Aubirdy, most people think im like this shut in who is really quiet when i really dont stop talking, even my best friend tends to roll her eyes at me because I ramble on and on, you just have to get to know me
6. I am such a bad driver, i almost crash at least 5 times while i'm on the road so steer clear of me
7. I looove to sing and I desparately wish I had a great voice and knew how to play guitar so that could be my career
8. Because of that dream and my infinite love of paramore, everytime I hear them play live and the crowd going wild or singing along with haley I cry like...really hard.
8. Extreme Makeover Home Edition always always makes me cry. As you can tell I'm pretty emotional haha.
9. The only family I have up here in the north with me is my older brother and my mom, the rest of my family is all down south and I see them (most of them, including my dad) once a year.
10. I'm an impulse buyer.
11. My knees pop EVERYTIME I bend down and its been like that pretty much all my life.
12. I have this stupid habit of touching my nose to my lip, i guess to stretch it out but i never notice myself doing it until someone points it out
13. I think its funny that when I was little I would suck on my arms and it would look like hickies so my mom would always get really mad at me haha i didnt even know what they were
14. I've only really had long term relationships so its really hard to relate to my friends whove got dumped cause I was usually the dumper in the relationship(not bragging, its harder to break up with someone when you've invested so much in the relationship)
15. I think I seem really young and immature and most people wouldnt think I went to college for a year haha
16. i miss a lot of my friends that i dont see anymore and how things were back in high school but i always block it out of my mind
k im done hahah im not that fascinating sorry :P
A Flapper Beauty of Chicago, Illinois In 1925
This is an old photograph of a young lady by the name of Ethel Mildred Allen of Chicago, Illinois that comes from an old magazine that was known as "Flapper's Experience." I know very little regarding this magazine other than the fact that it was a 1920's version of a swimsuit magazine...perhaps a vintage equivalent of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition. This particular photograph is from the October 1925 edition and cost 25 cents.
The "flappers" were stylish young woman who wore what was then considered risque clothing and short hair during the "roaring 1920's" during what is now known as the "Jazz Age." These women openly smoked, danced, and cast aside the long held tradition that women were to be quiet, proper, and inconspicuous.
This young lady's stats were as follows: "Ethel is a Chicago beauty who lives on the South Side. She recently won fourth prize in Chicago's recent bathing queen contest. She is 5' 5 1/2" tall, weighs 129 pounds, has light brown hair and blue eyes, and is 23 years old. Favorite diversions are riding, dancing, reading, country trips and meeting real people."
This photograph was taken at Chambers Studio in Chicago.
If Ms. Allen is alive today, she would be 109 years old.
